TAG: My Lazy Day

yes, my blog is still in the process of it's "face lift".

i just came across this tag video by CutiePieMarzia, and i thought that it is SO ME. and that i want to do this tag. so on with it, here is my Lazy Day tag:

Hair Products

Hair will just be in a pony tail or bun...super messy by the end of the day. So i guess, the "product" will be some form of hair tie. (i use a cheapo one from the pasar malam)
Makeup Products

What makeup? i do not bother with makeup on a lazy day, but if i must be presentable, some form of concealer / foundation / BB Cream / Tinted Moisturizer and i will TRY to rock the "messy hair look"..
Outfits

Shorts and a old baggy t-shirt/spagg top all the wayy..again, if i have to be presentable; jean shorts and a (dressy/presentable) t-shirt or spagg top.
Tea or Coffee

My first choice will always be coffee, but if it is one of those cooling stay in bed days..i would opt for tea.
Snacks

Anything available.
Pampering item

A hot shower followed by a face mask.

but in all honesty, if i am having a lazy day, i will not bother leaving my bed..unless i absolutely HAVE too..

the real me on a lazy day is me still in PJS, in bed, snacking on junk food, watching TV..and at most times, have a facial mask on:

40 MAKEUP QUESTIONS TAG [Part 2]

here is the part 2 that i promised you all; (read Part 1 here)

MAKEUP

1. What foundation do you use?
Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in Natural

2. How about concealer?
for blemishes, I used my Foundation or Bobbi Brown Touch-up Stick in Natural; for under eye, Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener in Bisque mixed with Peach.

3. Do you know your undertone color?
I think it is yellow (towards the warmer side) but I have a lot of red spots.

4. What do you think of fake eyelashes?

loved them, but I do not really need them nor use them, unless I am in the mood.

5. Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?

Yes I know that. I try to abide by that but it usually doesn't happen. I only get rid of them when it starts to dry up

6. What brand of mascara do you use?

Currently, Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara

7. Sephora or MAC?

Both! But if I have to choose one, Sephora (just cause it has everything)

8. Do you have a MAC Procard?

No.

9. What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
a fluffy tapered Blending Brush and Eyelash curler, always.

10. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?

Yes, Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden

11. For the face?

not really, but have started using Origins CC Cream under my foundation.

12. What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

all time fav? Bobbi Brown Heather Eyeshadow (am not PurpleMonsterrrr for nothing)

13. Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Liquid, all time fav.

14. How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

Never really. Maybe when I was first starting out…I think…

15. What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

Like them but they're messy.

16. Do you use mineral makeup?

Sometimes.

17. What is your favorite lipstick?

all time fav BOLD lips is Bobbi Brown Lip Colour in Brunt Red.

18. How about lipgloss?

Majolica Majorca in PK211

19. What is your favorite blush to use?

The Body Shop Cheek and Lip Tint, the original Red

20. Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

Nope.

21. Do you like drugstore makeup?

Yes, especially Revlon, Rimmel and NYX

22. Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

Never been to one.

23. Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?

YES.

24. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Sorta, better than most but not the best.

25. Name a makeup crime that you hate?

so over done that it is scary to look at.

26. Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I am more to the neutral look, but LOVE the bright, bold look- too awesome to dismiss

27. Which celebrity always has great make up?

never really paid attention to celebrities.

28. If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?

if my skin is behaving, it will be eyeliner; if not some sort of Foundation or Concealer.

29. Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

yes, done it multiple times, I just choose not too.

30. Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

Not super good, not bad (or super bad) but good enough, well for ME at least to confidently walk out of the house without makeup.

31. In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

Cant really choose, honestly each brand has an awesome product that beats the others. I cant choose.

32. What do you think of Makeup??

I love it! It is so fun to play with. And see what it can create. For me it is just fun; makeup is fun and should not be taken too seriously, whether it is to accentuate your own natural beauty, create a whole new look, too make you feel confident, or just because you love it.

Tag: Harry Potter

well, how can i not do this tag?!

here it goes!

Favorite book
the last book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!
Favorite movie
i like the first two films mostly of the way in which it was filmed! its darker, it had more elements of mystery..and it follows the book more.
Least favorite book
hmmm..for me i think its the fifth book: Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix!
Least favorite movie
would be the third one: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban! hmm..but it maybe cause i am not used to the new director after the 1st 2 films? but i just didnt like the change in the lighting of the overall movie and the new Prof. Dumbledore! with that said..i didnt like the way Dumbledore acted in the Goblet of Fire as well! where when Harry's name first poped up..and they were in the back chamber..in the book Dumbledore asked Harry calmly and all, in the film Dumbledore practically attacked Harry asking if he put his name in! very out of Dumbledore's character!
Parts of the books/movies that made you cry
the one where Dumbledore died! cried like a baby! and i teared a little when Sirius and Fred died. also felt super sad during the scene in the last book when Harry walked through the Great Hall where they laid their dead after the 1st attack.
If you could hook up with any HP character who would it be?
i LOVE the Weasley twins!
Favorite character
like i said..i LOVE the twins!
What would your Patronus be?
well, from my understanding..your patronus reflect the caster's personality..with that said, mine would probably be a pig! or a sloth! =__= but if i get to choose...i would want a dolphin maybe? or something cool and fierce.... :)
If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand which one would you choose?
either the invisibility cloak or the elder wand! but with what the books say about the elder wand bring early death to the owner..i will go for the invisibility cloak!
What House would you be in?
well, i would obviously want to be in Gryffindor..but i think i might be a Slytherin or Hufflepuff! :(
IF you could meet any member of the cast who would it be?
Emma Watson! and i would love to get my books signed by JK Rowling!
Have you played any of the video games?
yeah..once..and in all honestly..the games sucks! i played the PS1 version of, i think, the Chamber of Secrets!
IF you were on the Quiddich team which position would you play?
well, i would be a really bad chaser..n if i was a beater i might end up just hitting myself..so a keeper or a seeker!
Were you happy with the ending?
yes! i love the ending! and how Voldermort was killed with his own spell. and how the spell that saved Harry in the beginning is cast upon everybody! and the significance the fight held when the fight took place in the Great Hall!
..but i hate how they killed off Lupin and Tonks and Fred! :( my few fav characters!
How much does Harry Potter mean to you?
in a way..its my childhood! love it! and i think it will always be part of me! it is in a way what sparked my liking towards fantasy/supernatural genre in books and movies/series. its happy, its fun..and I DO BELIEVE IN MAGIC! ;P

SOOOOOO...exams are OVERR!!! does the boogie-woogie!
and IF i pass ALL my units (pray that i do!) then i'll graduate!! and soon, will be entering the working world! :O

oh how time flies! anyways..i wanted to update my blog saying im FREEEE...but i didnt want to say just that..
and i dont really know what to blog about..mmm..maybe a haul! but that requires taking photos..and im kinda lazy at the moment..so a TAG is awesome for times like this! hehe..

give up skincare for a week! :S

Are there any beauty products that you keep coming back to throughout the years?
well, im kinda new to makeup/beauty products in general! (that is to say, i hv yet to fully hit pan in most of products..) but the one thing that i have gone thru 2 tubes of and hv repurchased is The Body Shop's red cheek&lip stain..(generally i like lip and cheek stains)
Smoky eyes or red lips?
i like both! but what suits me more, and which i wear often..smokey eyes!
Lipstick or lipgloss?

Are there any products that you never expected to like but ended up loving?
mmm..i havent really ventured or experimented with products that i dont know yet..

Tag: Get Your Freak On

#1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?
i dont really have a nick name. they just call me by my name: Chui Yi!

mmm..my girl friends calls me Chui. and some friends call me Purple.

#2. What's a weird habit of yours?
mmm..i wonder if i can call this a habit! but i love to fold my legs. its like my ultimate comfortable sitting position. to cross my legs or to hug them. it doesnt matter where i am or what im sitting on.
oh in the movies, once i sit down i automatically take off my shoes and bring my legs up and hug them, like i curl into a ball on the seat.

#3. Do you have any weird phobias?
yes. drains. everytime i cross one, i fear falling in. and the thing is im naturally clumsy. so that doesnt help. i will always hold on to something or someone when i cross a drain.
also, standing or walking on drains that are covered. u know those bars.

yea. anyways, i get this weird phobia on walking or standing on them. i have a weird phobia that it might like break or its not placed on properly and that it will fall when stood on. and i cant stand it if i see any friends or family that are just standing on them also. i will ask them to move. LOL.

its weird cause ive never actually fallen into drain or have the covers fall on me before. so i have no idea why i have this phobia.

#4. What's a song you secretly LOVE to blast & belt out when you're alone?
nopes, not really. i listen to any kind of music. but i really do enjoy my Disney songs :)

#5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?
when a person make me repeat something one too many times! as in like if u keep asking the same questions over and over and over again and ive already answered u over and over again, and u still keep asking.
and i know i cannot be nice when i want to be left alone and the person knows this but still disturbs me.
can these be called pet peeves?
owh ive recently found out that i really cant stand the sound of someone chewing gum. especially when they are next to me. and its just chewing gum.

#6. What's one of your nervous habits?
i just cant stop moving. if im nervous i have to move. and sometimes i hop/jump on the spot. and id squeeze my hands together.

#7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
i sleep alone on a queen sized bed. usually the left side. or right in the middle.

#8. What was your first stuffed animal & it's name?
i dont really remember what my first stuff animal was. but my oldest memory of a stuff animal are 2 little white rabbits. a bigger one and a slightly smaller one. the bigger one is represented by my older sister and the smaller one by me. dont think we gave them names tho.

#9. What's the drink you ALWAYS order at starbucks?
not a huge Starbucks person. but when i do go to Starbucks, i either order the Caramel Macchiato or the Green Tea Latte.

#10. What's the beauty rule you preach.. but never ACTUALLY practice?
mmmm...i dont really preach anything. but i do know and somtimes tell people to drink more water and to be consistent with their skincare routine..but yea..

#11. Which way do you face in the shower?

for the most part, i face away (and slightly to the right) from the shower. but i love to let the water fall on my face. and i do when it is towards the end of my shower..hahha...

#12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'?
no? i dont know. i can trip on absolutely nothing when walking, or just loose my balance sometimes? and i was told by family members that i have the weirdest sleeping positions..is that counted?

#13. What's your favorite 'comfort food'/food thats 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways?
i dont really have a set or particular 'comfort food'. i have weird cravings most of the time. so really, i just eat what i crave. but ultimately, its ice cream. as cliche as that may be.

#14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?
OMG!,
SERIOUSLY?!!?!?!?,
WHATT??,
DIM KAIII?? (which mean 'why' in Cantonese)

#15. Time to sleep- what are you ACTUALLY wearing?
depending on the weather or room condition: super big loose t-shirt and if its hot cotton shorts or boys boxers (yups!), and if its cold or chilly long sweatpants or cotton pants.

Tag: My MakeUp Story

1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup?

i think, 14! but it wasnt like everyday!

2. How did you get into makeup?

i dont really remember..i first learn about makeup at 14..and after highschool i wore eyeliner religiously, and concealer when puberty hit! then mascara..then i slowly moved into wearing foundation..and for the longest time it was just that. i think i fully got into makeup i think around 2009, and YouTube was one of the main drive! LOL. i have always liked make up..i like to stare at it, the colours and everything..but i didnt wear it much..i had a tiny collection, but i only started experimenting and wearing them come 2009! naturally, my collection has grown since then! :P

3. What is your first ever makeup item?

eyeliner! black and brown!

4. What are some of your favorite brands?

i dont really have an all time favorite! but i do love Benefit, the colour range of MAC, recently discovered Inglot..and for more drugstore-y: Revlon & NYX..oohhhh..and Korean and Japanese brands..LOL..

5. What does makeup mean to you?

"to enhance one's natural beauty!" and to hide my pimples! :P i can leave the house without makeup, but i dont cause i just feel more comfortable with make up on! i mean i dont wear fully face makeup everyday! but yea...

6. If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be?

in this order! 1. eyeliner; 2. concealer/foundation (if this was 2 years ago, it would be foundation then eyeliner); 3. some sort of base to even out my eyelid colour; 4. mascara

7. What is your favorite thing about makeup?

playing with it! discovering new looks one can make with it! and how it can change/enhance a person's look! but mostly i like playing with it! and staring at it! :)

8. What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup?

i dont really think there is much difference! i mean, there are some really well-made drugstore products and some that are just plain rubbish! but same can be said for high end! only thing, for high end, theres a wider range with prettier packaging! and i guess it one way, u can expect them to be "safe" cause they have an image to uphold, so u can "trust" it..but, i would not buy nameless unknown brand..well, just dont really trust it u know..

9. What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner?

erhhh....im somewhat of a beginner too..but i guess its practice! i had a friend tell me that i do my makeup better now than 3 years ago!

10. What is one makeup trend you never understood?

the Japanese Ganguro look! i mean, i know its more of a fashion statement thing, but some do achieve this look with makeup..yea..i just dont get it! O.O not insulting, to each their own, but i just dont get it!

Questions!

1. How did you get your user name?

PurpleMonsterrrr, erm..well first i wanted something with the word PURPLE (duh!) then something to go with it! i thought of snowflake, lady, piggy...then i just came to the word monster! and i added 3 more Rs behind it cause the username was already taken on YouTube- which was the birth place of this username.

2. If you could change your name to anything, what would it be and why?

erh..i never really wanted to change my name or anything, so i never thought about this..but i do need to come up with an English name! my name is hard to pronounce! and i havent decide what i want that name to be yet..so i cant answer this question! but whatever it is..i want it to start with the letter 'C'!

3. If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would it be and why?

i dont really have an advice to give myself! i just cant think of anything specific..i mean, if i were to be going back in time to give my younger self an advice..i want it to be good, to be worth while, to mean something..but i cant think of anything worth going back in time for..

but for the sake of answering; the one thing that keeps popping into my mind is that to have continued gymnastics!

4. How old were you when you first learned to blow a bubblegum bubble?

erh..i really cant remember! but i do remember that the first time i tried to blow a bubble..the gum flew out of my mouth! LOL

5. What did you want to be when you were little?
LOL..i remember this clearly! too many tv shows..i wanted to be a lawyer! hahahha..can u believe this?! but that changed very fast! and i did always like the idea of running a high powered business! :P

6. What do you order at Starbucks?
either a Caramel Frap or Green Tea Latte. yumms!

7. What's the hardest you ever laughed?
too many times to pin point this. but i remember i laughed so hard that i my cheeks hurt, my tummy hurt, my throat hurt, i started tearing and was just out of breath! and still laughing!

8. If you could play any musical instrument, which would it be and why?
violin or the drums! drums because its just too cool! but i really like the violin! i think there is something so hot about it! :P

9. What's your favorite thing to do when you're upset?

be surrounded by what i like best! eating (ice cream mostly- yes i know cliche!), watching tv and not be bothered! and sometimes maybe shopping..so just take my mind of things..

owh and (not many know this) but if i want to/ feel like cry(ing), i like to watch sad sappy movies that'll make you cry buckets! i'd watch it and cry and then id surprisingly feel better!

10. What's your favorite movie?
dont really have a particular number 1 favorite! i mostly like romance, fantasy, mind-boggling, Disney, type movies. erm..The Notebook, Inception, Serendipity, Rapunzel, ... just to name a few!
oh and im bias towards Harry Potter! :P Harry Potter is always a favorite!

11. What's one food you can not live without?
too many to list! LOL! but if i have to really pick..id say MEATTTT!!!

12. What's your favorite dessert?
ice cream! hands down!

13. Favorite pizza topping?
pepperoni! no question about it.

14. Would you rather have the superpower to read minds, or the superpower to be invisible?
i would have to go with..to read minds!

15. What did you do for your last birthday?
it was my 21st! so it was pretty big! a costume themed house party with lots of food, booze, cake and karaoke!

16. If you had one personal "selfish" wish, what would it be and why?
honestly, i dont know..id update this once i know the answer!

17. What is your favorite exclamation word?

i usually shriekkk! like AHHHHH..or EKKKK...to exclaim! lol! dont judge me! haahha..

but word wise.."OMG" is the commonly used one!

lazy. the weather is so cooling and all that (after rain)..i just cant help but feel lazy and some what sleepy.

mmmm..u know..i dont really have a dream dream. but i guess i wish to be able to live comfortably in the future and have enough to travel the world!

i guess it would be the Origins VitaZing moisturizer. ive heard great things about it and i just want to give it a go.

i would try any product that would help my skin look brighter! its so dull looking now (without makeup) i hate it!

mmmm..?! dont really have one. but if i have to say, id prolly pick: "be true to yourself".

know who you are! and those that loves you. and dont let what other people say or think bring you down! as long as people that matters knows, the rest doesnt matter!

now?! well, its night time and i havent change out of my clothes since Uni.

im wearing a loose white t-shirt and black cotton leggings. footwear, i was wearing my bright purple Havaianas flipflops.

grapes. strawberries. most of the berry family. guava.

start exercising regularly! and starting on my assignment! ROR!

erhh...define different?! appearance or whatt? appearance i guess it would be my hair since i just got them done! thinking wise..not really..

erh i dont recall the last time i spilled anything on myself! but just now i did lay my arm on some water on the table and it splashed on me..does that count?
