Yes, I'm still alive

Sigh. I will never pass for a blogger.

How do people do it? Finding time to sit and write about things...not to mention the picture taking and editing (which I suck at)!

I know so far, my picture quality is not great. I take photos with my phone (Samsung Note 2) and the most "editing" I do is through Instagram.

Until I get that sorted, am afraid I don't think I will blog as much as I want too (ie: about beauty products and such). If I am going to do this, I want to do it right. And accessorize the content with pictures.

Until then, I am sorry to announce, this is going to be one hell of a wordy blog (or one with shit pictures).

40 MAKEUP QUESTIONS TAG

SKINCARE

1. How many times do you wash your face daily?
   Twice, morning and night. Sometimes, if my skin is feeling extra dry, i will skip washing my face in the morning (just splash some water).
2. What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)
   This is abit of a hard question for me to answer. Here is a backstory:
   Originally, i have combo to very oily skin (and being in adolescence, i thought i had to keep washing my face - thus striping it of its natural moisture);
   As i hit about 18, my skin started to stabilized a little, but since i was consistently trying to get rid of the oils on my face, my skin as become SUPERBLY dehydrated (still oily and pimple prone) - but my skin flakes and peel, but remains oily and shiny;
   About a year ago, i had a major breakout! Not even exaggerating! It was horrible! I did not know the cause (did not change anything in my daily) and nothing seemed to work. So i went to a skin specialist. i was on daily medication for bout 6 months, now on alternate days. This medicine (Roaccutane 10mg) is pretty known in the pimple world. It has cleared up my skin ALOT, but it has also made it VERY dry. So right now, my skin is dry.
3. What is your current facial wash?
   I switch between Origin's Checks and Balance, and La Mer Cleansing Lotion
4. Do you exfoliate?
   I used too, but now with my dry skin, i do not. And if i do - i use a really mild one (meant for daily).
5. What brand do you use?
   To exfoliate or in general? if to exfoliate, it will be NuSkin (their gentle scrub), or if i want a more invasive scrub, i will mix my Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains with my cleanser.
6. What moisturizer do you use?
   Again, i switch out between Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream and La Mer Moisturizing Lotion
7. Do you have freckles?
   No.
8. Do you use eye cream?
   Honestly, i know this is important, i tend to always forget this step! i need to work on that.
9. Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
   Yes. Especially when i first hit puberty.
10. Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
    Nopes.

hello 2014,

yes, i think my hiatus and the lack of blog post (for about a year and more) has killed what minute readership i have. As mentioned in previous blog post, in all honestly, writing takes time and effort - and whether you are a writer or not, one do suffer from the normal case of writer's block. but seriously, i have been too busy (with work and life) and just did not have the mood to blog. i apologize dear blog of mine.

now that that is out of the way, i should probably start with a warm hello to 2014. you can read my farewell bid to 2013 on my Dayre post here.

since the year started and now even the Lunar New Year, i have been trying out new things and even doing things I say i wanted to pick up for ages - like COOKING.

but the major highlight for this year is my new haircut! i finally, and for the first time since i had a say in my haircut, went SHORT!

With that, I decided I want to share my finally COMPLETE MAC makeup eyeshadow palette.

Finally a full x15 palette. i feel so proud. it took me awhile to fill this up, as i wanted to only get colours I will wear and will use. and now i am a proud owner of a full palette.

I decided to buy the old palette because I could not justify paying RM120 for an empty palette.

Since completing my palette, I have added more to the collection. hold your panties! It's not much, only x3 single shadows and x1 Pro LongWear eyeshadow.

Baby Breath is a colour i use more as a blush than an eyeshadow. in fact, i don't think i have once used it as an eyeshadow! on my skin, it gives my cheeks a nice pink flush. Hey, makeup has no rules, you CAN wear eyeshadow on your cheek!

As I work in the beauty industry, I do have access to makeup and thus some of these few mentions does not have the final names, but just the working names(wn). Don't get too excited, these are colours that have long been released.

Since we are on the topic of MAC eyeshadows, i decided to also throw in some of the other eyeshadows i own.

A good mix of Mineralized, Cream, and loose Pigment eyeshadows. While I am at this, I am just going to throw in the Paint Pots I have.

i have also ordered the Pigment in Naked (so that is on the way), and i am thinking of getting the Pigment in the colour Melon (such a gorgeous colour, got a mini sample of it and i love it!).

My favourite colours and my most used colours from this little collection are not at all the same (well, some are), but you get my drift...i hope.

The ones that are both favourites and most used are,

• Patina Eyeshadow is a gorgeous and very versatile colour! beautiful for all over the lid on its own, and a very versatile colour that easily pairs with other colours.
• Naked Lunch Eyeshadow is another colour that wears beautifully on its own and paired with others.
• Vanilla Pigment is a colour that looks boring in the little container, but GOSH! so so pretty! it has that shimmer sheen of gold when applied, and instantly brightens up your lid. prefect inner colour colour and to line your under eyes (to create that ever popular K-pop look). but also awesome for all over the lids just to add some colour-and-go.

moving on to favourites, this is a much longer list, and for this, i am going to skip description and such. Just look at the gorgeous colour! i need not say more! :)

you can see that i favour neutral colours that leans towards the purple, burgundy side. i am just a sucker for these colours, across all makeup category - eyeshadow, blush and lip colour.

so, every year The Big Bad Wolf brings books at a cheap rate..so cheap that u're just FORCED to buy! it is crazy! and you'd be crazy not to buy! most books are at a RM8 price range! DO YOU KNOW HOW CHEAP THAT IS FOR A BOOK?! when i first heard about the sale, i was sceptical, because most of the time, books that goes for cheap are shit titles! but..this sale has a good range of book titles for all! 

LOL. that sounded like an advert for them! i swear i am not being sponsored by them to say that! I WISH!

anywho, i went to the sale, and needless to say..i SHOPPED! and shopped! and 1 trip was not enough (as they were cheeky and release new titles every now and then, that i had to keep going back).

but i was really happy i went the many times i did! i discovered new books to read, books i was curious about before, and books i had on my wishlist for forever.

how appropriate! to start of, let me say NO i did not plan this! i figure that since i haven't done a proper update/daily post AT ALL since this blog started! id do an update about my weekend till today..

this is my 70th post on this blog! and its appropriate that its dedicated to Harry Potter! :P
you know, its the 7th movie..the last one..and this is the 70th post?! *lame* let me be la kay..

since Sunday night, the gang (Jing, Gerrit, Justin, Hao Xian and Yan) has been coming over after dinner for a HP movie marathon in preparations to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part 2) on WEDNESDAY 13th July!!! *ekkk.excited!*

no i didnt force them! LOL..ok kinda, abit! indirectly..tee hee..
see amongst my group of friends..im the only Harry Potter fan/fanatic/fandom(?!) and im forcing it upon them to watch the 7th, part 2 movie with me on Wednesday..
however, some haven't even watch the 1st part! so hence, we decided to get together and watch all the movies together! so that everyone understands whats going on.

for me personally, this is MY way of celebrating/ welcoming the last Harry Potter movie! 3 days HP movie marathon in anticipation of the last movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2!

On Sunday night we begin with:

then we went for supper..LOL..

so excited that its finally coming out and cant wait to watch it!

see, im not a HUGE fan of the cast of the Harry Potter movie..I LOVE HARRY POTTER and the wizarding world..so, i know about the cast and all that..but im not an actual fan of any of the cast members...

as i was watching the LIVE streaming of the NYC Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 movie premiere last night?/this morning (6am)..and i realized.. "HEY! Tom Felton grew up good... :P"

this past week or so, ive been living of Harry Potter, feeding hungrily on all the hype and the excitement caused by the coming movie release..been watching interviews, clips and all those..

and i must say, i am starting to really like Tom Felton! LOL! he's just adorable! u can see it in his interviews! haha..

he even delivered pizza to the fans who were camping out for the NYC premiere!

he tweeted:
"i enjoyed my role as pizza delivery boy last night!"

awww....

I WANT TO EAT PIZZA DELIVERED BY TOM FELTON TOO!

 i have something to complain about tho, regrading my "jeans"!
see, i bought a pair of jeans from F21 i think last year and i like it, so i decided to buy another one..
and heck it was cheap (RM49.90, for jeans!)
went to F21, and got a pair and realized its not the same one..
i mean design, fit, cutting and all are..but..the material and quality is SO off!
the colour comes off! as in, when u rub a tissue paper on the jeans..
the tissue will turn blue! when i rub my hands on my jeans..my hands turns blue as well!
WTH?!
update: my finger nails are all blue-ish now thanks to the "denim" jeans!
WTH?!!!
i dont mind it if its not real denim and stuff..but not until the colour just come off like this la!
and the thing is, the pair i bought last year is NOT LIKE THIS!
is F21 cutting on their quality or something?!

since i know my internals, i say i did quite well during finals! :)
SUPER HAPPY THAT I DIDNT FAIL AUTHORSHIP & WRITING!
but am kinda bummed about not getting a D for my marketing unit tho..
could have gotten a D, but thanks to my OH SO WONDERFUL TEACHER WHO IS A BITCH! pulled my internals down and thus, a D became difficult! cant even appeal the marks cause she gave us the marks at the last possible moment! BITCH!
SO HAPPY THAT IT'S HER LAST SEM IN MONASH! SO THANKFUL I WONT HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER ANYMORE!
