but anyways,
of the day/night series: 
today, the family went to Desa Park City for dinner, and there was this super tiny bazaar there..
here are some of my fav buys of the day!

LOVE THESE! the moment i saw it..i knew i was buying it!

there were more designs..and at first i wanted to get all..

but then i knew that i have no use for them. not really.

then after, we decided to check out SSTwo Mall!

there, there was is shop called Mr.DIY!

ok, that place is like another Daiso! (only that its not all for RM5)

but u know what, those little bits and bobs..i find that Mr.DIY is cheaper!

yes, i bough shit! :P

so i didnt buy them all..but really. i want too! loll..

oh. and at Mr.DIY..i found the felt hangers i have been looking for..

and it was 5 for RM6.90 which is the cheapest i found so far!

abit sad that the colour was more a pinky purple..too much pink..

but still. LOL.

OH and at Desa Park, i managed to find a purple lint roller!

(cause i have been meaning to buy one, but i wanted one i purple!)

yes. i am that nonsensical! and easily amused!

DIY: Ring Holder

i was re-organizing my accessories one day, and realize my MOST unorganized and jumbled up section is my rings section! i just chuck them in the tiny little drawers..

and i realized, i needed/ wanted to do something about this!

and thought about getting a ring holder! BUT i didnt know where to put it (the only place i had for my rings, are in those little drawers!) and also, i didnt know where to get me some! and im a cheapo! i didnt wanna pay much!

so i thought about it...
YouTube-d handmade ones..but videos i found..were abit of a hassle:
1. i was lazy to find all the materials needed
2. they used cardboard and stuff (i didnt like the look of it)
3. theres quite a number of steps..layzee..

see, i wanted mine to look classy! like a display look-a-like type. (like pic above)
however, i didnt have place for it, i wanted to use my drawers! and if i do get one, i wanted it in a specific size!

so the answer is to MAKE one!
thus, i thought about it and realized,
"HEY i can make one! i think i know how too..and all materials needed are easy to find!"

it took me awhile to find time to go out, scout what materials are best for this, and to find what i needed!
eventually, i found all that i needed at Diaso! (actually, Diaso was my 2nd stop!)

after that, it took me some time to be not lazy and put it together!
and if i must say so, i think it turned out pretty well!
i mean i just imagine this in my head and did it! no trial run or whatever!
i just threw this together..i mean it CAN look neater! but im happy with the turnout..! so...no complains!

TA-DA!

so what u need! :

1. some sort of tray or whatever u decide to use!
   for me i used one of those thin plastic trays from Diaso (in black) and my little drawers!

   

   RM 5 each

2. some felt paper (colour of your choice) i chose black!
   Diaso sells them in a big roll! which is more than sufficient! and alot cheaper that from craft stores!
   

   

   RM 5 each

3. magic sponge (size/amount depends on your tray size)
   for me, i needed 4. and Diaso sells them in packs of 4!

tools:

1. glue gun -its super easy to use! in fact, it was my first time using it! and i didnt have a problem with it!
   
   ps: i DO recommend u use a glue gun! cause normal glue would not be strong enough to hold, and super glue will melt the sponge! so a glue gun is the best option!
2. scissors
3. blade + lighter- to heat the blade up to make it easier to cut into the sponge! (again, its up to u if or not you want to use the lighter!)

the process:

1. measure the sponge to fit in the tray. cut around it if needed. or even make it thinner to fit the tray nicely!
2. measure the felt to wrap around the sponge (or just to place over the top).

   felt wrapped around the sponge

   dont forget to consider that when the sponge wrapped with the felt paper it will be bigger- so measure accordingly (to fit in tray).
3. i fold the felt paper (so that u get an even cut), and cut strips about slightly short of 1 inch apart. something like this,
   
   
   of course, measure it accordingly. (to your tray size and to your own needs/likes)
4. use the glue gun and glue the felt paper to the sponge. (if u choose to,)wrap the felt around the sponge and glue it down. put the glue in between each strip.
   
   
5. fit it into tray. (up to u if or not u choose to glue the sponge into the tray).
6. take your blade and trace the cuts on the felt. it is up to you how deep the cut goes. something like this,
   
   
7. and there you have it!

SO u can either make a tray of rings.

you can even put your earring studs in

or a drawers of rings.

both would nicely lay out for you, your rings to see, pick and choose what to wear!
really easy to do!
and was cheap!
1 tray (rm5) + a roll of felt paper (rm5) + a packet of sponge (rm5) = RM15!!

DIY: shoe box

so! for about a year now ive been searching for shoe boxes! transparent ones to be exact! but the ones i find, i just didnt think it was worth it to spend about RM 9 each, minimum (without shipping) on a shoe box! i rather save up those little RM 9 and buy another pair of shoe! see, the limit i set for shoe boxes- id go a little over RM 5 but thats IT! u knoww...

 

i mean, it will be so much easier to look for your shoes when they are in a transparent box! and i want to store my shoes in boxes! cause if not the shoes will just gather dust!

ive considered getting,

Tupperware kinds that are transparent! but i cant find one...whats the word..nice looking enough?! LOL

after much searching, i came across like pretty cool shoe storage units! like a chest of transparent drawers for shoes!

 

so cool! like just pull out the drawer and get your shoes!

but of course price wise, its not cheap! and i dont have a big space in my room for a chest of drawers anyways!

IKEA has shoe boxes also! the lid is transparent so u can see in!

4 for RM 49.90

i did consider getting this, but u see i dont think its worth it! so i didnt!

so then i decided, SCREW THIS! im just going to use the shoe box it came in! cause for one, my shoes were seriously gathering dust!

i dont remember how i came to this idea, and i know im not the first person to think of this! but yea..

what i did was:

1. took pictures of all my shoes with a white background!

2. i resized it to (H) 2."1 X (W) 2.8" and arrange it in Words. one A4 fits 8 pictures.

3. next i just print it in colour!
4. cut!
5. and stuck them to my shoe box! with tape!

this way, i can SEE what shoes i have without having to open each box! nor do i have to buy boxes to store my shoes in! n by doing this hardly cost me anything!

just colour printing RM1.80 (1 sheet) and those fat tape! heck! printing might even be free if u have colour printing at home!

i chose fat tape cause it can cover over the paper thus protecting the paper/picture! i think it will work better than using glue and just sticking it to the box!

total i spent RM 1.80 + RM 2.50= RM 4.30 and some of my time..which really, didnt take long! shorter than having to look/shop for shoe boxes!
and if i were to buy the cheap plastic transparent shoe box on Ebay..its about at least RM67.90 (without shipping) for 10 boxes! heck! i can get another pair of shoes with that!

im pretty pleased! my shoes are all organized now!

OH! right! the transparent shoe boxes i used for my flats are from Diaso (RM5 each)! cause most of my flats..actually all of my flats didnt come in a shoe box! and like i said! i prefer my shoes in boxes!
incase ure wondering why didnt i just go ahead and use those for my heels! its cause its too SMALL! it fits flats and flipflops only!

:) just thought i'd share! my mum might want me to do this for all her shoes as well! and she has more shoes that ME! =_= there goes my weekend! LOL!

im here sitting and thinking what happened in 2010?
and honestly theres nothing much i can remember!

i remember a mundane first half of the yearr..
and a mellow second half!?
most parts boring! with the occasional thrill! ROR.

2010.
new material things bought or received were inevitable.
but old obsession like makeup, snowflakes and ribbons lived on!
apart from those, new friendships were forged! :) and im thankful and happy for that!
oh this reminds me! though ive said that i wanted, and have already applied and got accepted for double degree in 2009. ive only officially became a double degree student in early 2010! (so i guess, this belongs in this post!? LOL?)


im really sitting down and thinking hard here for eventful things that happened to me in 2010!

oh i started Belle Hair Removal treatment for underarms (it is a part of my parents bday gift to me..it was about rm1000++)! :) its basically a once a month treatment to laser off my underarm hair! :D ive got 9 session (each person number of sessions are different).. ive only gone for about 3/4 sessions! so 5/6 more! im liking it! tho now its only the 3rd month of the lasering..ive noticed less hair growth already..n even when they grow..its super fine..i hardly have to pluck or shave anymore! woohoo! best rm1000++ ever!
id upload another post about this..for those of u who are interested! :)

as for trips! .....
i went to Singapore twice last year! LOL after yearS of not going there..and last year i went there 2 times in a year!

one was purely shopping trip with Jing Xiu and Jing Yi..

and lol i did shop but didnt go crazy. went crazy in Sephora though! :P

many of my friends..us 1989s turned the HUGE 21!
we've officially became adults! the legal age to do anything! and as my dad puts it:

anyways! i had a Halloween themed party to celebrate my FORCED passing into adulthood..
its not really a Halloween party..more like a costume party!
